Yemima Mongouin
Yemina was born a healthy child in Port au Prince. When she was a young child, she suffered a chronic fever that caused great neurological damage. Her parents were unable to care for her and took her to an orphanage. There she continued to suffer because of unimaginable living conditions. Sadly, she suffered there from severe malnutrition, abuse, and neglect. By God's grace she was rescued from there and came to New Life Children’s Home on March 2017. When Yemina first arrived, she was unable to move her head or limbs and cried all the time. Now she is a healthy teenager. She is happy, smiling often knowing that she is loved and safe. She enjoys playing and is learning to communicate through sign language.
